Château des Romains - Les Petits Verdots 2018 : 89-90/100

The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers a mineral frame, juiciness, a tight minerality, dynamism, a fine freshness as well as a beautiful matter. On the palate this wine expresses notes of fleshy/juicy blackberry, pulpy cassis, small notes of pulpy raspberry associated with a touch of pulpy cherry as well as fine hints of caramelization, toasted, chocolate/tonka bean and an imperceptible hint of flowers and tea.

Château des Romains - Les Petits Verdots 2018 : 88/100

This is a rarity, a Bordeaux wine made entirely from Petit Verdot. Dark colored, typical of the grape, the wine is rich, dense with tannins and powerfully concentrated. Dusty tannins and dark fruits suggest aging potential. Drink from 2023.

Château Freyneau - Cuvée Traditionnelle 2016 : 88/100

Now mature, this rich wine is at its peak. With round black fruits and tannins that just hint at dryness and spice, the wine is generous, full-bodied and ready to enjoy.

Château des Romains - Les Petits Verdots 2018 : 91/100

Intense dark purple colour and hue. Spicy nose with peppery and herbal notes paired with crème de cassis and dark fruit. The palate is ample with concentrated, moderate extraction with ripe tannin, sweet fruit flavours with a fresh backbone, integrated oak and a long lingering finish.

Château Freyneau - Cuvée Traditionnelle 2016 : 89/100

Intense dark purple core and a lighter rim. Youthful nose with ripe dark fruit, leather, tobacco, cassis and sweet plum with a hint of oak. Dense fruit in a medium body with young grippy tannin, generous fruit, integrated wood and a fairly long finish.

From Andreas Larsson about Château Freyneau "Cuvée Traditionnelle" 2016

Beautiful conditions of garnet color with touch of rose petal hue.

Expressive and intense perfume. Such as a lot of berries like cassis, black raspberry and Blueberry. these are all combine with subtitle oaky notes elegantly. It’s reminds me like a deep forest floor, dead leafs, Asian blown spices brought by this classic vintage.

Dry yet supple mouthfeel. Moderate and elegant alcohol sensation. Lovely fine grain tannin but it’s still has a wonderful flame followed by quality acidity and stony minerality. Not too dense, it’s a definitely fascinating classic elegant style bordeaux.

From Mr Nomura about Château Freyneau 2014

Clear and Bright. Pale yellow color and a bit of green reflection on the rim.

Expressive and perfumed. Ripe pear, well ripe citrus, succulent white peach and acacia flower  followed by  delightful oaky notes like pear tarte, roasted nuts and confit melon. Intense yet definitely elegance.

Highly intensity and dry. Well integrated body with medium plus of refined acidity gives smooth palate. Fulfilling mouthfeel  with fruitiness and shine minerality given by high quality grapes and wine making.

I highly recommend this wonderful oak aged Bordeaux blanc. You’ll be able to on list this detailed wine instead of good producers Meursault with third of the price. Amazing quality.

Château Freyneau 2015 Cuvée Traditionnelle: 87/100

This wine has softened sufficiently to be very drinkable. The big black fruits are solid, ripe and juicy. With acidity and rich tannins in the background, the wine is balanced and ready to drink.

Château de Gassis 2016: 88/100

This is a rich, generous wine. Its alcohol and dark fruits are balanced by acidity to give a wine that has both structure and juicy black-currant flavors. Drink this generous wine from 2021.

Château La Tuilerie White 2020: 89/100

The nose offers notes of juicy apple, white flowers, lily of the valley and small notes of zest associated with touches of minerality. The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers an acidulous frame, juiciness, a good definition, suavity, a fine grain, fat as well as a certain roundness. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of lychee, pulpy quenette and small notes of fleshy green apple associated with touches of fresh pear, small exotic fruits as well as fine hints of lime. Good length.

From Choukroun Chicheportiche Jonathan - VertdeVin about Château La Tuilerie White 2020

Château La Tuilerie Blanc : 91/100

Pale in color, the nose is very intense marked by Sauvignon alongside Semillon and Muscadelle. The wine is supple with a beautiful ripe grape which the nose did not suggest, the whole is suave with a very good potential and a small very noble bitterness. Nice success for this vineyard which has always been worked mechanically without using weedkillers.
