Vine yield: 35 hecto/hectare.

Appellation: Bordeaux Supérieur.

Vine-growing: The planting density is about 4500 plant per hectare, we work our soils mechanically and practice reasoned agriculture on the property since 1990.
We do a short pruning in order to reduce our yields and obtain the best quality for our berries.

Winemaking: The harvest is conducted at optimal maturity then we use a sorting table in the cellar and carry out the vinification under controlled temperature according to the progress of the fermentation. We realize a long maceration of 8 weeks to produce colored wines oriented on the aromas.

Andreas Larsson about Château des Romains - Les Petits Verdots 2018 : 91/100

Intense dark purple colour and hue. Spicy nose with peppery and herbal notes paired with crème de cassis and dark fruit. The palate is ample with concentrated, moderate extraction with ripe tannin, sweet fruit flavours with a fresh backbone, integrated oak and a long lingering finish.

Jonathan Choukroun Chicheportiche - VertdeVin about Château des Romains - Les Petits Verdots 2018: 89-90/100

The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers a mineral frame, juiciness, a tight minerality, dynamism, a fine freshness as well as a beautiful matter. On the palate this wine expresses notes of fleshy/juicy blackberry, pulpy cassis, small notes of pulpy raspberry associated with a touch of pulpy cherry as well as fine hints of caramelization, toasted, chocolate/tonka bean and an imperceptible hint of flowers and tea.

Roger Voss - WineEnthusiast about Château des Romains - Les Petits Verdots 2018 : 88/100

This is a rarity, a Bordeaux wine made entirely from Petit Verdot. Dark colored, typical of the grape, the wine is rich, dense with tannins and powerfully concentrated. Dusty tannins and dark fruits suggest aging potential. Drink from 2023.
